Today was a nice easy 3 mile run. 3 miles or 5k is my distance. I think I like the 3 mile distance because that's the distance I ran in my high school cross country races.
In college right now, we run 8k races which is about 4.9 miles, almost 5 miles. I have come to like this distance as well, but 3 miles is my go to distance. When I don’t know how far I want to run, I will usually just run three miles.
Today I had some stomach cramps on my run. I think it was from a lack of hydration prior in the day. I had not really drunk any water before my run. So after my run I drank like 1 liter of water.
Hydration and Nutrition is very important to be a successful runner.
