Blog Update and Act Today! 5k/10k Race

Well…

A lot has been going, which is why I have not been blogging lately.

I will be updating more frequently about my training and races, important things happening in my life, and anything that I feel would be great to blog about.

Today I am posting about one of my recent races. It was a great race. In a few days I will blog about my most recent race experience, the marathon.

ACT Today! 5k/10k Run/Walk http://acttodayformilitaryfamilies.kintera.org

When: April 7, 2012

Where: Mission Bay, San Diego, CA

Story about this race was I am just on facebook and see an ad on the side say “Act Today! 5k/10k Run/Walk in Mission Bay.” So me being me, I click on it. What caught my eye, however, was that it was a race for Autism awareness. I signed within a few days of hearing about it. I tell my other brothers and they decide to run in it too. My older brothers, however, drove out the night before from Phoenix, AZ. Races, for some reason, always brings our family together. We all raced in the 5k, wearing our signature “I Am Team Bridgeforth” tech t-shirts (picture below).

            This was a very fun race. The weather was perfect. Glad to see a lot of people racing this race. It makes me joyful to see people making a difference. We are all called to make a difference.
