Racing Update: Coyote 10k, Low Tide Ride & Stride, MCRD Freedom Run

I'd like to start out by saying thanks to all the new people that are following my blog. I hope that you all like it and will spread it on to your friends too.

With that said,
In this blog post I am going to take a quick look at my last 3 races that I have not posted about yet. These races were motivating for me.

Date: June 17, 2012
Distance: 10k
Time: 49:45
Place Overall: 4th
Division Place (20-29): 1st

This was an exciting race. I think I may have started out a little too fast. I was in 2nd place overall until about 1.5 miles. At about 1.5 miles there was starting to be some hills. This slowed me down a bit. I got passed 3 times which put me in 5th place. Then at the turn around (3.1 miles) I decided to just give it my best. I pushed my self and passed a runner within the last mile and got 4th place overall. I was very satisfied.

Date: June 24, 2012
Distance: 8.2 Miles
Time: 58:14
Place Overall: 21st
Division Place: 15/181

This race was a good one for me. It truly tested my running ability. I started out at a 6:30 pace which was a little fast. When I realized I was going to fast I slowed down, and just began to run my race. When I finished this race I was really joyful because I had shattered my time from last year. The only down fall for me was running on the sand. I don't know if it was the shoes I was wearing or if it was the sand. I ran in the NB Minimus Road. Maybe, I should have ran in the NB Minimus Trail like I did last year. I just didn't get go turnover in this race, but I was still happy with the race that I did run.

Date: June 29, 2012
Distance: 5k
Time: 18:55
Place Overall: 26th
Division Place (19-24): 3rd

I really enjoyed this race. I came into this race with high expectations. I knew I had the ability PR in this race. This was a race that I had been looking forward too. I ran with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. And when I finished I had nothing but joy in my heart. I not only PR'd but I beat my old PR by over 1 minute. I could not have asked for a better race.
